We are hiring for our client, an established international technology company developing cloud-based, AI-enabled software platforms used by major organisations worldwide. They are looking for high-calibre graduates who want to build a serious career in Software Engineering. This is not a graduate role where you'll spend your first year watching from the sidelines. You'll join an experienced engineering team and contribute to the development of real, business-critical applications and services.
What You'll Be Doing
- Designing, developing and testing software, principally using C# and .NET
- Building back-end applications and new product features
- Working with SQL Server and relational databases
- Developing with JavaScript, TypeScript and React
- Working within an Agile/Scrum engineering environment
- Testing, debugging and improving existing applications
- Using Git for source control and peer reviewing code
- Gaining exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, Cloud and modern application architecture
- Exploring new technologies, frameworks and approaches to software development
Who We're Looking For
- You'll ideally have a 2:1 or First-Class degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering or another strong STEM discipline, with A levels at A-B grades or equivalent.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
- Programming experience in C#, C++, Java, Python or similar
- Some knowledge of SQL/databases
- Personal, university or commercial software development projects
- A genuine interest in becoming an accomplished Software Engineer
- Experience with C#, .NET, React, Git, Docker or Kubernetes is advantageous, but we're not expecting graduates to arrive knowing everything. We're interested in ability, curiosity and potential.
