We’re looking for a hands-on SFMC Developer with 6+ years of experience to help build and
optimize personalized, data-driven marketing campaigns. You’ll work closely with cross-
functional teams to develop scalable solutions across email, data, and API integrations—
bringing customer journeys to life with precision and performance.
This is an initial 12 month contract where you will work remotely with teams across EMEA and EST timezones.
Key Responsibilities;
- Build and maintain journeys, automations, and triggered campaigns using Journey
- Develop responsive email templates and dynamic content using HTML/CSS, AMPscript, and SSJS.
- Implement personalization strategies and segmentation logic using SQL and Data Extensions.
- Integrate SFMC with external systems via REST/SOAP APIs and custom connectors.
- Collaborate with data teams to ingest, transform, and activate audience data.
- Ensure data hygiene, compliance, and performance across marketing datasets.
- Troubleshoot and optimize campaign performance, deliverability, and rendering.
- Maintain reusable code libraries and documentation for marketing operations.
- Support QA, UAT, and deployment processes in collaboration with QA and DevOps teams.
- Partner with marketing, analytics, and engineering teams to align on campaign goals and data flows.
- Provide technical guidance to junior developers and marketers on SFMC capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of hands-on SFMC development experience (Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Email/Content Builder).
- Experience with REST/SOAP APIs and integrating SFMC with external platforms.
- Proven ability to deliver scalable, high-performance marketing solutions.
Preferred skills
- Experience working in the pharmaceutical, healthcare/medical or life science industries
- Experience working with Salesforce Data Cloud or other CDPs to source and activate audiences.
- Salesforce certifications (e.g., Marketing Cloud Developer, Email Specialist).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) and Agile methodologies.
