Workplace Design Experience

Must have Construction experience. This is not a PM role for IT.

Role Overview:

As a Project Manager, you will play a key role in delivering high-value commercial interior fit-out projects across London. You’ll ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This permanent position offers the opportunity to work with a boutique workplace design company renowned for creating vibrant, bespoke office spaces that reflect their clients' unique cultures and values.

You will collaborate closely with senior leadership to enhance project delivery processes, contributing to the company’s growing reputation for excellence in the commercial interiors sector.

Key Responsibilities:

General Project Delivery:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, landlords, and project stakeholders.
  • Oversee all aspects of the construction process, ensuring snag-free delivery on time and within budget.
  • Conduct regular site visits, supervising site managers, contractors, and project teams to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Lead pre-contract activities, including building surveys, tender submissions, budget planning, master programming, and health and safety compliance.

Health & Safety:

  • Ensure exemplary site setups and strict adherence to UK health and safety regulations, in collaboration with the Health & Safety Manager.

Pre-Contract & Financial Management:

  • Develop pre-contract and construction programs, micro-programming schedules, and detailed costings.
  • Lead tendering and negotiate trade packages to secure cost-effective solutions.
  • Manage project budgets, cash flows, valuations, and variations while aiming to enhance gross profit margins and meet financial targets.

Administration & Legal Compliance:

  • Document and organize client and subcontractor meetings, ensuring seamless communication.
  • Oversee the completion of operational and maintenance documentation, warranties, and certifications.
  • Address post-completion defects and facilitate the issuance of final certifications.
