Jak Consultancy is working confidentially with an established, award-winning architectural and design practice looking to appoint a Midweight Interior Designer / Interior Architect to join its London team.
This opportunity would suit either an Interior Designer with strong architectural and technical experience or an Architect with proven Cat A & Cat B commercial fit-out and interiors experience.
The successful candidate will work across a variety of existing and new projects, with a particular emphasis on commercial interiors and workplace, alongside projects across other sectors.
The Role
You will be involved throughout the design and delivery process, including:
- Taking early-stage client briefs and developing strong, commercially viable design concepts.
- Working on Cat A & Cat B commercial interior and fit-out projects.
- Producing and developing test fits through the RIBA stages.
- Attending client, stakeholder and design team meetings.
- Carrying out site visits, reviews and snagging.
- Developing technical information required to successfully deliver the design.
- Producing detailed drawing and information packages, primarily using Revit.
- Coordinating with internal visualisation and digital teams.
- Working closely with consultants, contractors and wider project teams.
- Identifying and resolving technical and on-site challenges with practical, buildable solutions.
- Working both independently and as part of smaller project teams.
About You
We are looking for someone with:
- A minimum of 3 years' commercial interiors experience.
- Strong experience within Cat A & Cat B workplace/commercial fit-out.
- At least 3 years' professional Revit experience, ideally on live construction projects.
- Experience across both front-end design and technical delivery.
- Strong space planning and test-fit capabilities.
- A good understanding of construction and how interior schemes are delivered on site.
- Confidence communicating with clients, consultants and contractors.
- Strong drawing, presentation and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Revit and Adobe Creative Suite.
- SketchUp experience would be beneficial but is not essential.
- The ability to take ownership of your work and operate effectively within a fast-paced environment.
- The right to work in the UK.
