Interior Designer (Mid to Senior Level) – Workplace Interiors
Location: Manchester
Type: Full-time | Monday to Friday, 9am-6pm
Salary: £45,000 – £50,000
A well-established design practice with a strong reputation for creating inspiring and functional workplace environments is looking to welcome an experienced Interior Designer to their Manchester studio. Known for their thoughtful approach and high-quality delivery, this team works with forward-thinking clients to design workspaces that are both strategic and people-focused.
You\’ll join a collaborative environment where designers, strategists, and project managers come together to deliver exceptional interiors-from initial concept through to technical detail and site implementation. With a growing portfolio of office fit-outs and refurbishments across the UK, this is a chance to contribute to design-led projects that are shaping the future of work.
Your Role:
- Lead the creative process on workplace interiors projects-from early-stage briefing through to delivery
- Produce concept designs, layout planning, mood boards, and FF&E selections
- Prepare and coordinate detailed drawing packages using AutoCAD
- Liaise directly with clients to understand their business goals and translate them into design solutions
- Work closely with technical, commercial, and delivery teams to ensure design integrity is maintained throughout
- Attend site visits and contribute to on-site design coordination when needed
- Support pitch development and present design ideas with clarity and confidence
What We\’re Looking For:
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in commercial workplace design, ideally within a D&B or consultancy environment
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, along with working knowledge of SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong space planning and concept development skills
- Good understanding of building regulations, construction detailing, and workplace ergonomics
- Ability to manage multiple projects, balance priorities, and deliver to deadlines
- Comfortable leading client presentations and contributing to strategic design conversations
- A degree in Interior Design or a related discipline
