We are seeking a Mid-Level Interior Designer with strong potential to grow into a Pitch Designer role within our client's leading workplace fit-out team in London. This is an exciting opportunity for a designer who thrives on conceptual thinking, client engagement, and delivering innovative design solutions that captivate and inspire.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with senior designers and project leads to develop winning design concepts for client pitches, ensuring alignment with client objectives, brand identity, and workplace trends.
- Take a leading role in pitch preparation, including creating visually compelling presentations, mood boards, spatial layouts, and FF&E selections that tell a cohesive and persuasive story.
- Support the design team in troubleshooting and problem-solving throughout all project stages, from concept development to completion.
- Prepare high-quality materials for client presentations, including concept visuals, 3D renderings, and design narratives that effectively communicate ideas.
- Assist in the development of technical drawing packs for tender and construction documentation, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Act as a client-facing representative during pitches and presentations, demonstrating confidence, creativity, and a deep understanding of client needs.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, materials, and innovations to bring fresh ideas and perspectives to pitches and projects.
- Work closely with project managers and contractors to ensure design intent is maintained during construction, responding to RFIs and attending site meetings as required.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in workplace interior design, architecture, or a related field, with a proven track record of contributing to successful pitches or design competitions.
- A degree in interior design, architecture, or a related discipline, with a strong portfolio showcasing conceptual thinking and presentation skills.
- Exceptional visual and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate design ideas clearly and persuasively to clients and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in SketchUp, Revit, AutoCAD, and the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) is essential.
