The Financial Control Reconciliations Assistants will carry out the daily reconciliations of all the credit card suspense accounts ensuring that all rejects are investigated and actioned. The main reconciliation tool used will be Intelli-match. This is a 6-month fixed-term contract with the opportunity to become a permanent position, subject to business needs and performance.
What’s the opportunity? You will work in a dynamic fast paced environment, delivering a significant change agenda for a business that is shaking up the Consumer Finance industry. Working with a passionate set of colleagues who excel at delivery you will have a varied and interesting portfolio of activity that is not constrained by the status quo. Experience within a credit card environment is preferred, although not required.
Key Accountabilities:
- Daily reconciliation of all payments, settlements and rejects accounts.
- Ageing of outstanding items, escalating any exceptional items to your line manager.
- Investigating all reconciling differences in accordance with SLA’s.
- Liaising with the Payment Services & other Jaja teams on a daily basis.
- Raise and post journals to the finance system for any adjustments that may be necessary from the investigation of the reconciling items.
- Ensuring all tasks are operated to the highest levels of quality & compliance in line with defined standards and procedures.
- Assisting the reconciliations team leader with updates to reconciliation procedures as necessary.
Essential skills and Experience:
- Be highly numerate with focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Be an accomplished user of Microsoft Office.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Be able to work to strict deadlines and within a team environment.
