The responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Ensure that service users are at the heart of the care delivery and their wishes and preferences enhance their wellbeing.
  • Undertake the care planning activities for service users to meet changing physical, psychological, and social needs, taking into consideration privacy, dignity, personal choice, and informed consent.
  • Ensure care plans are developed in collaboration with service users, their families and friends (where appropriate), and members of the multidisciplinary team.
  • Undertake all aspects of medicine management in line with legal, professional and regulatory requirements.
  • Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of those individuals supported by the service.

Location: We have a need in the Wigan Home.

Working Hours: Minimum of 36 hours.

Qualifications:

  • Registered with a relevant body, e.g. NMC.
  • A minimum of Level 1 Registered Nurse Qualification or equivalent is preferable.
  • Maintain PDP, attending workshops commensurate with the role to develop and maintain best practice.
  • Supervisory or management qualification.

Experience:

  • It is desirable but not essential to have the following experience:
  • Previous experience of working in a similar environment.
  • Previous experience of working in a similar supervisory role.
  • Experience working with service users who have additional support needs.
  • Knowledge of rota planning ensuring adequate staff on duty with correct skill mix and fair allocation of off-duty/annual leave.
