An opportunity has arisen for a Junior Powertrain Technician in a rapidly expanding and exciting work environment. This key role within the Jaguar TCS racing Formula E team demands a high level of precision and attention to detail to deliver a front-running racing car capable of achieving race and championship wins.
About the role
This is a key role within the Jaguar TCS racing Formula E team where a high level of precision and attention to detail is demanded to deliver a front running racing car that can achieve race and championship wins.
What you will do
- Production of race and development items to the highest standards.
- Testing and passing off powertrain components.
- Following and understanding of engineering drawings and build procedures.
- Ownership of areas and working in a professional and structured manner.
- Ability to review, improve and develop all procedures and operations.
- Report and troubleshoot issues with the team to solve problems quickly and efficiently.
- Comply with all Health, Safety and Environmental guidance and regulations.
- Work independently and make informed decisions based on knowledge and experience.
- Support all members of the team and work competently with others.
About you
- Motorsport experience advantageous but not essential.
- Flexible working approach and the ability to adapt are essential.
- Electrical & Mechanical technical knowledge & ability.
- Good working knowledge of proprietary PC software e.g. MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and wiring diagrams is advantageous but not essential.
