Jaguar\’s reputation for performance, technology and design was forged within the world\’s most challenging circuits and championships. Our partners work at the cutting edge of technology and share an understanding that progress, courage and innovation enable us to achieve our on-track goals. We design, develop & manufacture the Jaguar Formula E racing car and run it in the FIA Formula E World Championship. We were world champions in 2024, and this was only possible due to the knowledge, talent and commitment of our people.
We operate a 12-month (September 2026 – August 2027) student placement programme within our Formula E Design Office. This is an exciting opportunity to work with highly skilled and experienced engineering professionals and graduates who you can learn and develop with. The more questions you ask the more you will gain from your experience. It is important to know that many of our industrial placements have been successful in obtaining graduate roles on completion of their degree.
Responsibilities
- Design of various components, both mechanical and composite, including car components and prototype and test equipment.
- Attendance at various on-site test events such as chassis or component testing.
- Attendance at a track test day or two during pre-season testing for the season(s).
Qualifications
To be eligible for an industrial placement within our Formula E Design Office you should be working towards a degree in Mathematics, Mechanical, Aerospace, Automotive or Motor Sport Engineering. An understanding of vehicle dynamics, CAD design, particularly Siemens NX and programming would be advantageous.
