WHAT TO EXPECT
As the Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you\’ll carry out both reactive and proactive maintenance on electrical distribution systems across all facilities.
• Use a logical approach to fault finding to diagnose and repair faults on control circuitry.
• Support Initial and Periodic Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations to BS7671:2018
• Carry out Electrical Equipment Testing (formally known as Portable Appliance Testing) to IET Code of Practice 5th Edition for In-Service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment
• Support the servicing, testing and maintenance of emergency lighting systems to BS EN 50172 / BS 5266
• Ensure compliance of electrical installations to DSEAR & ATEX Regulations
• Identification of new Low Voltage Electrical distribution and equipment
• Ensure environmental compliance at all times and relevant legislation is adhered to.
WHAT YOU\’LL NEED
With expertise as a skilled maintenance engineer, you\’ll utilise your technical and problem solving skills to ensure optimal equipment performance, minimise downtime, and drive opertational efficiency therefore you\’ll need:
• Expert knowledge of Low Voltage electrical distribution systems
• C&G Level 3 Award in the Requirements for Electrical Installations – BS7671:2018 including Amendment 2. (2382)
• Working knowledge of plant engineering and building services activities (HVAC, gas, water, air & electricity)
• Good knowledge of Building Management Systems
• Working knowledge of Condition Based Monitoring, Predictive Maintenance, Mean Time Between Failure & Mean Time to Repair principles
• Working knowledge of Lock Out Tag Out, Safe Systems of Work and Preventative Maintenance processes
• Ability & willingness to be flexible with working hours/ shift at short notice.
