As a Chassis Dyno Technician at JLR, you will keep the test facility running smoothly and maintain a productive workflow. You will provide essential test capability to the powertrain engineering and certification teams, using complex measurement instruments to deliver high quality data. Your work will directly support the development and optimisation of control technologies needed to meet key vehicle performance targets. This role will work double day shifts, rotating between 06:00am - 14:00pm and 13:45pm - 21:45pm.

Responsibilities
- Own the planning, setup, and execution of chassis dyno tests, ensuring high quality output through accurate configuration of automation software, ancillary systems, limits, and parameters to meet project and safety requirements.
- Coordinate and control test workflow during shift operations, making informed decisions on test prioritisation and progression by utilising all available data sources to support timely and efficient delivery.
- Apply data driven problem solving to identify, diagnose, and rectify issues quickly, engaging relevant support teams as required and raising/tracking eTrackers to minimise facility downtime.
- Ensure all required equipment, tools, and systems are available, fit for purpose, and compliant with safety protocols, including adherence to Health & Safety, Risk Assessment, and COSHH requirements.
- Create, update, and improve internal test instructions, local processes, and test technique documentation to support consistent, efficient, and safe test delivery across the facility.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working within a Powertrain test environment, with strong understanding of test facility requirements, specifications, and core technical systems.
- Strong ability to conduct data driven fault finding, problem analysis, and root cause identification using a methodical and logical approach.
- Confident in applying advanced automation software to enable test delivery, including setup of parameters, limits, and ancillary systems for safe, high quality operation.
- Demonstrate capability to plan, coordinate, and control workload independently, ensuring timely delivery of high quality test outputs.
