JLR are looking for experienced and enthusiastic technicians who hold a Level 3 qualification within an automotive field, with a thirst for knowledge, who want to play an active part, as we reimagine what a vehicle means in the emerging world of autonomous vehicles, electrification and sustainability. WHAT TO EXPECT
In this role, you’ll join our fast-growing team in the JLR Engineering Laboratories, working with innovative technologies within state-of-the-art facilities at our Gaydon and Whitley sites. We have invested heavily to ensure our facilities and equipment are world class and we need the best skilled colleagues to maximise our investment. Here’s what to expect:
- Work as part of the Engineering Laboratories Test Operations team, supporting innovative and future technologies
- Build, configuration and installation of components, systems, and vehicles onto a variety of cutting-edge test rigs
- Electrical tasks from the latest propulsion systems under test to the installation of advanced instrumentation to support data acquisition
- Light fabrication and machining to support bespoke rig installations
- Various mechanical and electrical tasks associated with the exciting world of testing
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Along with your ambition to achieve the exceptional, there are several skills that you’ll need to have to help you succeed here, including:
- Level 3 NVQ/City & Guilds qualified within an automotive field
- Experience with automotive systems, test facility systems and associated safety standards
- A collaborative team player, focused on delivering shared goals
- Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
- Able to manage multiple projects with an agile and adaptable approach
