In the Manufacturing team at JLR’s Electric Propulsion Manufacturing Centre (EPMC), you’ll help power iconic electric cars. You will work alongside technicians and leaders to drive our commitment to shape a sustainable future. Use your expertise, technology, and problem-solving skills to ensure efficient, high-quality production.

Be at the forefront of innovation within our Current Manufacturing Engineering (CME) team as an Assembly Manufacturing Process Engineer. The team is expanding for current ICE production facilities and future powertrain facilities.

You will be a key part of the process team, working closely with Manufacturing Operations and Global Manufacturing Engineering (GME) departments to ensure robust and quality handover of new equipment and facilities.

WHAT TO EXPECT

In this role, no two tasks are the same. You will work on various projects and build relationships across the business. Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring quality and accuracy of personal output
  • Personal technical development
  • Ownership of tasks related to Operations, Engineering, and PTME departments
  • Administrative tasks, reviews, and workload forecasting
  • Improving current facilities to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Skills required include:

  • Process engineering experience in manufacturing, including quality process control tools like PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Audits, and YS/YC cascade
  • Knowledge of assembly protocols and data analysis from tools like Engineering Workstation and SAP
  • Awareness of Process Authoring Tools (GSPAS), simulation, and virtual tools like Digital-buck and CATIA V5/V6
  • Experience with inline testing and audit requirements
  • Project management experience, including equipment purchasing and tooling modification
  • Ability to work within cross-functional teams and support projects from concept to production
