You will ensure seamless operations across our global footprint while prioritising sustainability. Working with cross-functional teams, you'll drive efficiencies and implement industry-leading practices to create the exceptional.
As the Lead Programmes and Solutions Design Engineer, you will serve as the primary contact between Global Manufacturing Engineering (GME) Logistics and the programmes teams during project development at the Halewood Assembly Plant (HAP), potentially overseeing the project through to facility installation. You will collaborate closely with GME Logistics Strategy and facility delivery teams as the logistics technical solutions expert, coordinating impact assessments and ensuring stakeholder alignment.
WHAT TO EXPECT
You will be responsible for developing and executing intra-logistics solutions and automation strategies. Your key responsibilities include:
- Acting as the day-to-day GME Logistics contact for all programme activities at Halewood, liaising with stakeholders and suppliers.
- Capturing part complexity, sequencing assumptions, and PFEP data from Supply Chain and programme teams.
- Preparing logistics impact assessments and gateway submissions.
- Implementing logistics facilities and equipment via vendor routes adhering to JLR GME standards.
- Monitoring and reporting programme budgets, including costs for infrastructure and equipment.
- Developing logistics solutions and automation strategies for HAP.
- Optimising warehousing and logistics to meet programme needs.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
To succeed, you should have:
- Knowledge of planning, monitoring, and controlling programmes and facility/equipment installations.
- Experience with installation projects or supply chain solution design.
- Good budgeting and resource allocation skills.
- Strong analytical and statistical skills.
- Experience managing multiple projects within a major programme environment.
- A relevant degree, qualification, or equivalent experience.
