LOCATION: West Midlands or Halewood, Liverpool (Frequent travel may be required. A full driving licence is required for this role). Hybrid working is potentially available, depending on the area and manager.
JLR is a multi-site business, and you will be required to spend time working with different departments at several locations. JLR's graduate programmes are not eligible for sponsorship and therefore, we will only accept applications for this programme from candidates with the unrestricted right to work in the UK for an indefinite period.

INDUSTRIAL OPERATIONS: PROCUREMENT SUPPLIER TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE (STA) GRADUATE PROGRAMME
Our STA team are responsible for the quality of parts from the suppliers we use across our entire vehicle portfolio. Their work touches on every part that goes into our cars, ensuring we deliver modern luxury with excellence at every touchpoint.
When you join our team, you will have the opportunity to be involved in almost every aspect of the manufacturing process for our vehicles - developing your problem-solving skills as you address quality concerns and learning how to tackle unexpected challenges at various stages of the vehicle lifecycle.
By the end of the programme, you will have an extensive knowledge of our approval process for all parts, be the reassuring point of contact for suppliers in distress, and a champion of delivery as you generate efficient processes for supplying new vehicles.
As you develop your technical knowledge, you will also start to build and maintain relationships with key contacts from across the business and within our supply base. You will learn how to confidently manage stakeholders and suppliers, growing your own professional network as you help to shape ours.
The programme takes two years to complete and during that time, you will undertake four six-month placements in areas such as:
- Exterior
- Interior
- Chassis
- Software and Digital
- Electrical Hardware
- e-Propulsion
- Engines and Driveline
- Aftermarket
- Indirect
- Raw Materials
- Special Vehicles
Once you have completed the programme, you will have the opportunity to transition into a role within STA that is tailored to your interests, experience and skill sets.
YOUR DEVELOPMENT
Our graduate programme is all about helping you grow and thrive. You will get to work with some of the brightest minds in the industry, build connections, and gain valuable insights that will set you up for success.
As a graduate, you will join a bespoke learning programme designed and delivered in partnership with our external training partner, Ashorne Hill. You will build essential business skills, including resilience, decision making and problem solving, personal branding, and self-care.
During the programme, you will sharpen your creative and strategic thinking, develop leadership skills, and contribute to key business projects.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
To join the STA Procurement Graduate Programme, you will need to hold or be on track to achieve at least a 2.2 degree in engineering, materials science, manufacturing or any science, technology, engineering or maths (STEM) discipline. You should be a skilled problem-solver with a curiosity for understanding business challenges and a drive to deliver innovative solutions.
Strong numerical and interpersonal skills, along with the confidence to champion new initiatives, are also essential. As you will regularly travel between sites and to suppliers, a full driving licence is also essential.
REWARDS AND BENEFITS
Our 2026 graduate programme salary is £32,000, with a £2,000 joining bonus to welcome you to JLR. After two years, you will progress from the graduate programme on a £39,000 salary. In addition, JLR offers a generous holiday allowance, a discounted car purchase and lease scheme for you and your family, excellent pension provisions and access to a wide range of deals and discounts from well-known retailers and sports clubs.
