Join JLR's Group Reporting & Accounting (GR&A) team, who are leaders in technical and financial accounting. The team is critical for ensuring the quality, consistency and compliance of JLR's global financial accounting and for driving excellence within the Group's financial reporting process. The team has a key role in understanding and validating the Group's financials, as well as producing the monthly consolidation and quarterly external financial reporting. This role provides opportunities to drive quality and value add reporting, proactively manage and continually improve all aspects of technical accounting, controls and compliance in external & internal reporting.
WHAT TO EXPECT
You will play a critical role for ensuring the quality, consistency and compliance of JLR financial accounting and reporting associated with various JLR business functions, across the globe. Here's what to expect:
- Developing and leveraging understanding the business to identify key areas of reporting risks and judgements, deliver key projects and statutory reporting requirements.
- Lead transformation projects to deliver system automation and simplified processes.
- Proactively collaborating with finance and operational teams to provide reporting insight on new strategic areas, business change or areas of complexity to drive quality and "value add" reporting.
- Reviewing methodologies and calculations connected with the most significant accounting areas, often including management estimates and judgements.
- Effectively managing issues with key stakeholders through identification, investigation and resolution of technical accounting matters and through delivery of key projects.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Along with your ambition to achieve the exceptional, there are several skills that you'll need to have to help you succeed here, including:
- Experience in finance leadership roles in multinational, multi-function organisations.
- Strong accounting technical expertise, including IFRS.
- Public Limited Company reporting and / or SEC experience.
- Knowledge of working in a control matrix environment.
- Strong technical and practical knowledge and experience with International Financial Reporting Standards.
- Hold either ACA (ICAEW), ACCA, or ICAS qualification.
