WHAT TO EXPECT:
This is a great opportunity to join the JLR Clay Modelling team and work across four design studios with some of the biggest automotive brands. If you are a recent Art/Modelling graduate with 6-12 months experience in Clay Modelling, this could be the role for you. The purpose is to assist in developing world-class clay models for exterior and interior designs through the JLR design process. The role is highly creative, requiring flexibility, forward thinking, and an eye for detail. You should be adaptable to new technologies and skilled in both analogue and digital tools to contribute significantly to our design processes across four brands.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the Senior Clay Sculptor Modeller on various projects across brands.
- Applying a logical modelling approach to meet JLR standards within set timelines.
- Reporting issues and resolving or escalating modelling challenges.
- Participating in Design Delivery Programme Meetings as needed.
WHAT YOU\’LL NEED
In addition to a drive for excellence, you should have:
- Previous experience of clay modelling in a design studio.
- Strong hard modelling skills.
- A relevant degree or equivalent experience (preferred).
- Experience working in an OEM Design Studio.
