Integrated Energy Management (IEM) is responsible for delivering the Product Efficiency and Range Attribute as part of the Vehicle Efficiency chapter. The IEM Off-Cycle Lead Engineer will be responsible for the IEM Quality Operating Schedule (QOS), Certification Strategies and Data Handling processes used by On-Cycle IEM Squads.
WHAT TO EXPECT
In this role, you will have detailed understanding of current and future Zero Emission Vehicles’ efficiency certification legislation in major and developing markets. You will be responsible for the Creation and continuous improvement of methods and tools required to report official vehicle efficiency and range figures. Here’s what to expect:
- Responsible for Body of Knowledge of current and future BEV Efficiency relevant Legislation/Regulations in major and developing markets
- Lead the creation and continuous improvement of certification Test Post Processing and Data Handling Methods and Tools
- Close interaction with compliance, legislation and certification teams
- Create, Own and Maintain the ZEV Certification strategy to inform ePOs of the optimum vehicle specifications for certification
- Creation and continuous improvement of certification Data Handling processes and tools to collate complex energy nodes datasets required official vehicle efficiency calculations
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Along with your ambition to achieve the exceptional, there are several skills that you’ll need to have to help you succeed here, including:
- Knowledge of range and efficiency certification methods, processes, and implementation (UN ECE WLTP, NAS EPA as a minimum).
- Knowledge of electric vehicle propulsion systems and vehicle efficiencies
- Engineering background with evidence of a methodical, structured approach to problem solving
- Strong communication skills and teamwork – ability to work cross functionally with a wide range of customers at all levels in the business
- Strong presentation skills with the ability to use data and visualisations to articulate complex risks, opportunities and recommendations in an easily digestible way
- Technical report writing ability for efficiency analysis and scientific proposals for legislative authorities
- Qualification (academic or vocational) in Engineering or Pure sciences
