As our Material Flow Strategy Engineer, your role will be critical in shaping the future of intralogistics at JLR by developing commodity-specific material flow strategies that drive efficiency, standardisation, and innovation across our global manufacturing network.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Reporting to the Strategy & Standards Lead, you will be responsible for analysing current best practices, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and creating scalable strategies that align with our vision for Logistics Excellence and model plant vision.

• Develop and document material flow strategies for all commodities, based on internal & external benchmarking and best practices across industries.
• Collaborate with plant MP&L teams, Product Engineering, and manufacturing to understand current operations and identify opportunities for standardisation and optimisation.
• Support simulation and scenario modelling activities to validate proposed strategies and contribute to the definition of the logistics model plant.
• Work closely with the Automation, Data, and Continuous Improvement leads to ensure strategies are integrated, data-driven, and future-ready.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of strategies, including process flows, layouts, and implementation guides, ensuring alignment with global standards.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of material flow processes by incorporating industry trends, new technologies, and internal feedback.
• Provide support to plant teams to embed material flow strategies into operational practices.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
