In the Manufacturing team at JLR's Electric Propulsion Manufacturing Centre (EPMC), you'll help power iconic electric cars. You will be working alongside incredible technicians and leaders to drive our commitment to shape a future we truly believe in, together. Use your expertise, cuttingâedge technology, and problemâsolving skills to ensure efficient, sustainable and highâquality production.
As a Test Engineer here, you'll be handsâon in shaping the heart of our current and future propulsion systems. You'll work with pioneering products, support modern luxury manufacturing, and help redefine what exceptional looks like in engine and EV testing. WHAT TO EXPECT- You will prepare test facilities and components to ensure smooth, accurate, and timely delivery of highâquality test data.
- Use your technical expertise to collect, interpret and present measurement data that supports informed engineering decisions.
- Use your skills to review and coordinate test requests, aligning with the baseline test plan and ensuring feasibility and timely delivery.
- You will lead fault analysis and resolution activities to minimise downtime and continuously improve efficiency and product quality.
- Champion process documentation and safe working systems, supporting KPI reporting and strong collaboration across manufacturing and engineering teams.
- Experience in manufacturing test environments, including Cold Test, Hot Test and ICE powertrain test rigs, with the ability to interpret output data.
- Strong IT capability, with familiarity in tools such as GSPAS, digital and virtual simulation systems, MS Office, and an understanding of engineering drawings.
- Problemâsolving expertise with the confidence to lead crossâfunctional activities and support engineering decisions from early concepts through to current production.
- A degree in Manufacturing Systems or a similar engineering discipline, or equivalent experience through HNC/HND routes.
- Knowledge of electrified propulsion testing, calibration processes, facility commissioning, or tools such as UPS 64, JW Froehlich, or Sciemetric/Sigpod would be advantageous.
