Use your expertise, cutting-edge technology, and problem-solving skills to ensure efficient, sustainable and high-quality production. Fuel the exceptional. Come and join JLR as Senior Business Excellence Lead – Strategy & Operations to play a key role in shaping and improving performance across Propulsion Manufacturing Operations. This position sits at the heart of the business, translating JLR’s Reimagine strategy into clear, practical actions that drive measurable outcomes across the shop floor. It’s an opportunity to work across two manufacturing sites, bringing structure, clarity, and alignment to how the business plans and delivers.
In this role, you’ll lead initiatives that enhance efficiency, optimise processes, and embed integrated business planning across operations. You’ll use data and insight to guide decisions, improve engagement, and ensure that plans are not only well defined but effectively executed. This is a position for someone who enjoys operating at the intersection of strategy and delivery — bringing a continuous improvement mindset, strong stakeholder engagement skills, and the ability to turn complexity into simple, actionable plans. You’ll play a visible role in driving sustainable improvement, creating momentum across the organisation, and helping ensure the business runs at its very best.
WHAT TO EXPECT
In this role, you’ll play a key part in delivering high-quality outcomes and supporting the wider team through a range of responsibilities, including:
- Lead a Business Excellence team across two plants (EPMC & BAC) while owning the overall Business Excellence agenda and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop and implement Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and Hoshin Kanri models to align strategic and operational objectives.
- Facilitate KPI policy deployment, cascading priorities into functional scorecards, operational reviews, and structured plant-level cadence reviews.
- Engage and influence senior stakeholders through dashboards, executive presentations, and coordinated reporting of programme metrics and KPIs.
- Oversee key business projects, ensuring delivery to quality, cost, and time targets, including the introduction and management of project tools (e.g. JIRA).
- Identify and implement process improvements, embedding lean principles to streamline operations and enhance execution.
- Lead workshops and planning sessions (including senior leadership level), support plant visits, and partner with communications teams to ensure consistent messaging and engagement.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
We’re looking for someone with the right blend of experience, qualifications, and practical skills, including:
- Proven experience in Integrated Business Planning and broader strategic planning processes.
- Strong background in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and associated tools.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and influence senior stakeholders and support decision-making.
- Expertise in KPI reporting, scorecard development, and performance dashboard creation.
- Advanced proficiency in Office 365, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, with experience presenting to executive-level audiences.
- Track record of delivering strategic projects on time, within cost and quality parameters, while leading a small team across two plants.
- Strong facilitation and workshop leadership skills, with flexibility and the ability to work across multiple plant locations.
- Experience in process mapping, lean methodologies, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
