You'll work alongside industry experts to drive product strategy, manage programs, analyse performance, and lead transformation initiatives. Exceptional careers that bring world‑renowned vehicles to life start here.
We’re looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to join a growing team shaping the future of ADAS infotainment visualisation. At a time of real momentum, this role offers the chance to contribute to how drivers interact with autonomous and assisted driving features, delivering intuitive, high‑quality HMI experiences across a rapidly evolving portfolio. You’ll play a central role in system design, supporting software architecture and bringing new and enhanced features to life, from Surround Reality visualisation to advanced driving and parking interfaces.
Working collaboratively with architects, product owners and development teams across multiple locations, you’ll help define and deliver robust, scalable solutions within a complex infotainment environment. This position sits within a multidisciplinary systems and software engineering team responsible for future AAD HMI architecture. You’ll take ownership of system requirements, model‑based engineering artefacts and integrated subsystem delivery, ensuring everything is clearly specified, traceable and verified. From supplier engagement through to successful vehicle integration, you’ll help ensure programmes are delivered to the right quality, cost and timing expectations.
WHAT TO EXPECT
- Own the end‑to‑end delivery of system architecture, features and software, ensuring they meet business requirements on time, to the right quality standards and within cost targets.
- Support the planning, coordination and reporting of requirements across Cycle Plan programmes, applying PCDS principles alongside wider organisational processes.
- Act as a key point of support for resolving technical conflicts and issues, working collaboratively across domains and functions.
- Drive domain performance, leading or escalating cross‑module and cross‑domain challenges across virtual builds, physical builds and launch phases.
- Champion continuous improvement by developing and embedding best practices across methods, tools and processes within the Body of Knowledge.
- Lead the creation, review and release of high‑quality System Engineering artefacts, ensuring consistency, clarity and robustness across all deliverables.
- Ensure seamless integration and delivery of subsystem and system content, working closely with stakeholders to maintain alignment throughout the programme lifecycle.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- Strong technical grounding in automotive electrical systems, with a proven track record across complex vehicle environments.
- Broad systems engineering experience, including system definition, architecture development, requirements specification, modelling, integration, validation and acceptance.
- Skilled in developing detailed technical requirements and associated verification and test plans, with a high level of proficiency in requirements management tools (ideally TRM).
- Experience applying PCDS principles to plan, coordinate, deliver and report requirements across Cycle Plan programmes.
- Demonstrated ability to lead delivery through teams, combining strong technical leadership with effective people management.
- Proven background delivering projects within automotive or wider manufacturing settings, with the confidence to engage and influence senior stakeholders at all levels.
- Degree qualified (or equivalent experience) with hands‑on expertise in Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), including the decomposition of high‑level requirements into system and subsystem specifications.
BENEFITS
- Discounted car purchase (open to family members, too).
- A 52 week maternity leave policy and a 4 week paternity leave policy. Other parental leave policies are available.
- A JLR company performance‑related bonus.
- An employee learning scheme providing funding for education, training and other activities which support the development of personal skills and promote lifelong learning.
