The Power Electronics Test and Methodology Engineer will be responsible for automation, process improvement and software tools development to support test delivery to fulfil vehicle requirements across our High Voltage test facilities including Inverter and Power Electronics (Charging). WHAT TO EXPECT

In this role, no two tasks are the same. With lots of projects and relationships to build with people across the business and beyond, it’s a challenge that will help your career grow within an iconic organisation. Here’s what to expect:

  • Development of automation solutions to simplify and accelerate test delivery, from automation of routine actions to the control of the HW device
  • Creation of clear documentation and instructions for the team’s knowledge base
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving
  • Test planning, project management and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reporting
  • Commissioning and debug facilities, test equipment and system under test
  • Creation and review of test scenarios based on the product requirements
  • Development of the SW Testing environment

WHAT YOU\’LL NEED

Along with your ambition to achieve the exceptional, there are several skills that you’ll need to have to help you succeed here, including:

  • Understanding of electrical automotive powertrain systems
  • Experience testing electrified vehicle systems such as MHEV, PHEV, and BEV at component or system level
  • Practical knowledge of vehicle networks and architectures (CAN/CAN-FD/FlexRay/LIN) at a protocol manipulation level
  • Experience with test automation techniques and tools
  • Test design techniques, experience in hardware or software testing
  • Experience in AVL PUMA, CAMEO, dSpace Software (ControlDesk, ConfigurationDesk and AutomationDesk)
  • Experienced in data acquisition, data analysis and problem-solving methods
