This role will supervise a team within maintenance operations at Solihull Paint Shop to provide support to maximise production efficiencies and maintain all associated plant equipment and be responsible for first line response to requests/issues with equipment/processes.

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Leads the day-to-day supervision of maintenance operations to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient production performance across all key operational measures.
  • Provides daily supervision to the maintenance team to deliver safe and efficient production performance within the Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People, and Environment framework.
  • Ensures full compliance with Health & Safety procedures, identifying hazards, implementing corrective actions, and ensuring the team receives appropriate training.
  • Supports and maintains area staffing levels within operational constraints to meet production targets.
  • Leads the team in performing running checks, repairs, and the planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programme.
  • Drives the achievement of equipment uptime objectives and responds to breakdowns using safe working practices to minimise downtime.
  • Works closely with operational and support teams across the site to help achieve quality and volume targets.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Key technical and leadership capabilities required for effective performance in a maintenance-focused environment.
  • Technical background in maintenance.
  • Experience resolving key constraints and delivering improvements through root-cause analysis.
  • Previous experience in team or people management.
  • Understanding of maintenance systems and performance metrics.
  • Relevant technical qualification or equivalent experience preferred.
