As a Maintenance Leader at JLR, you’ll play a key role in keeping some of the most advanced manufacturing technologies performing at their best. Leading a skilled team within our Trim & Final operations, you’ll help deliver quality, efficiency and innovation while creating opportunities to grow your leadership and technical expertise.
WHAT TO EXPECT
You’ll be at the heart of a fast‑moving manufacturing environment, leading maintenance activity that keeps production running safely and efficiently. From developing your team to improving automation and reliability, you’ll make a visible impact every day while working alongside experts across the business.
- Leading and developing a team of maintenance professionals to achieve safety, quality, delivery, cost and environmental targets
- Managing planned preventative maintenance programmes, running checks and repairs to maximise equipment performance and uptime
- Responding to breakdowns, coordinating root cause investigations and implementing lasting corrective actions
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives, improving maintenance processes and supporting automation enhancement projects
- Collaborating with production, engineering, quality, safety and project teams to deliver business objectives and operational excellence
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- Previous experience in a maintenance leadership or supervisory role within a manufacturing environment
- Understanding of mechanical and electrical control systems, with knowledge of PLC‑controlled equipment and automation technologies
- Demonstrable experience of problem solving, fault diagnosis and delivering continuous improvement initiatives
- Experience of leading, supporting and developing teams while managing operational priorities and performance
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, preventative maintenance practices and workplace safety standards such as COSHH
