Whether in Procurement, sourcing vital products and services, or Supply Chain, managing Logistics Operations and Fulfilment, you will ensure seamless operations for our iconic vehicles across our global footprint while prioritising sustainable initiatives. Working with cross‐functional teams, you will be part of how we drive efficiencies and implement industry‐leading practices.
Propulsion Production Operations is responsible for the manufacture of the JLR Propulsion systems to support the current and next generation of JLR vehicles. Delivering a premium product, the EMC operations team have established, developed and continue to grow the facility to ensure a first class service to our customer base. The purpose of this role is to contribute to the development and execution of the Logistics strategy for MP&L Operations to support International and local programmes. Provide technical support and work towards standardising and improving logistics operations at the EMC, through data driven analysis.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Timely implementation of material flow systems including but not limited to IT, Manpower, Hardware and processes at EMC.
- Deployment of the strategy for all material planning, flow and logistics to support international and local programmes to ensure the strategy is aligned to both the overall company and functional strategies.
- Delivery of the Plan For Every Part – PFEP correctness and data quality received from central MP&L functions.
- Liaise with Purchasing to ensure logistical factors are fully included in all sourcing decisions.
- Ensuring that Jaguar Land Rover are adopting Best in Class Logistics solutions within the Powertrain operations with clearly defined measurables to demonstrate improvements with each new project.
What You'll Need:
- Previous experience in Logistics operations.
- Good analytical skills and statistical ability.
- Experience or knowledge of project management and process improvement.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
