Location: Solihull

Working in Manufacturing at JLR, you will be a hands‑on expert collaborating with a team of technicians and problem‑solvers, using cutting‑edge tools and processes to support modern luxury vehicle production.

What to Expect

  • Coordinate site environmental activities, ensuring facilities and services meet business needs while supporting performance within the environmental framework.
  • Deliver energy efficiency projects, support low‑carbon technology deployment, and contribute to site and business carbon management planning.
  • Maintain EMS KPIs, improve EMS processes, lead environmental meetings, and produce environmental content for the site.
  • Manage the site’s Combustion Permit, ensure compliance with legal and non‑legal environmental obligations, and oversee environmental incident tracking.
  • Lead ISO14001 certification activities, provide evidence for audits, and conduct internal and external environmental audits.
  • Liaise with wider environmental, sustainability, and energy forums to ensure alignment and share best practice.
  • Lead metering, monitoring, and network improvement projects to enhance environmental and energy performance across the site.

What You’ll Need

  • Experience in site services or environmental management, including estates, maintenance, or environmental operations.
  • Technical background in environmental or estates management with practical understanding of operational site systems.
  • Ability to resolve constraints through root cause analysis, demonstrating measurable improvements and problem‑solving capability.
  • Contract‑management experience overseeing suppliers, service providers, and performance delivery.
  • Knowledge of Environmental Management Systems, especially ISO14001, EMS metrics, and compliance frameworks.
  • Relevant technical education (engineering or science) at HNC or higher, with strong numeracy.
  • Strong digital and communication skills.
