Our client is a successful, privately owned IT MSP company based in the Worthing area. They have an exciting opportunity for a forward thinking IT Support Technician to join their expanding team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to progress within a successful, well established company offering continued training and development.
The role will involve providing desktop remote support to clients. Therefore you will need to build reputable relationships with clients, offering excellent levels of customer service.
IT Support Role:
As 1st Line Support / Desktop Support you will provide front-line primary technical support to end users via phone, email and remote connection. Client issues will vary but will relate to hardware, software, peripherals and cloud based applications.
Technical Skills – An awareness of:
- Domain joined desktop environments
- Active Directory, Group Policies
- Microsoft Windows 7 to 10
- Office 2010 – 2019 – especially Outlook
- Office 365 – All features
- PC Hardware troubleshooting and optimization
- Network Printers
- Basic network troubleshooting
General Skills & Experience:
- Regardless of a candidate's technical skills a demonstrable ability to perform basic network troubleshooting will be essential
- Minimum 1 year experience on helpdesk support or similar IT support role would be highly beneficial
- Strong customer care and client facing skills
- Good verbal and written communications skills
- Excellent telephone manner
- Organized, focused and rigorous
- Solid time management
- Proven problem solving skills
- Able to work in a team environment
- Must have desire and ability to develop new skills on the job
