My client has anexciting opportunity to join their Centre as aUsed Car Buyer.
TheUsed Car Buyerwill be an operational member of the Dealership Team and report to the Sales and Franchise Manager. The role is primarily to purchase vehicles from multiple sources to assist the dealerships achieve their sales and financial targets.
- Assisting the Sales Manager in ensuring that optimum used stock levels are maintained to maximise used car sales opportunities.
- Ensure that used cars are purchased at the correct market value reflecting their age and required preparation costs to comply with company policy.
- Ensure the procurement and supply of quality used vehicles in order that sales departments can achieve financial and volume targets
- Develop approved relationships with manufacturers, auction houses and other trade contacts in pursuit of stock acquisition
- Make purchases in line with the defined stock profile and individual requirements of each business
- Provide advice and support to Sales Management in respect of retail and trade valuations
- Provide detailed analysis/reports on purchase activity
- Monitor 60+ day stock and advise on price re-alignment and assist in disposal / inter-company transfers
- Monitor vehicle sales mix and volumes to ensure correct replenishment of stock
- Conduct due diligence in respects of vehicle condition, service history, number of previous owners, outstanding finance, warranted mileage and previous accident damage
- Ensure compliance with the requirements of the Snows Approved Used Vehicle Programme
- Always operate within company policy
- Monitor and provide feedback on the trends and market conditions at auction
