Overview

Job Description: Telesales / Business Development Representative required. Our client are OEM specialists with resources dedicated to full stack IT infrastructure, high-performance computing, and embedded technology. They are now looking for a Telesales Representative to join their team based in Worthing. The successful candidate will be IT literate and will be reporting to the team leader.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively cold call and prospect new clients, booking meetings for external sales team to attend.
  • Maintain new prospects lists to create a manageable monthly follow up call list.
  • Maintain and develop a computerised customer and prospect database.
  • Plan and assist with direct marketing activities for lead generation.
  • Attend training to develop relevant knowledge and skills both technically and commercially.
  • Continually maintain an effective understanding of the Embedded, industrial and medical IT markets and broad business/economic landscape to enhance sales effectiveness; this will be achieved by self-study and attendance of company led training.
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual KPI’s / revenue targets.

Position Requirements / Qualifications

  • Self-starter with a drive and determination to build their career.
  • Experience in a similar role.
  • A highly competitive nature and charisma.
  • Excellent written, oral and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and expertise of the sales lifecycle and supporting processes.
  • The ability to self-motivate, push forward and succeed in a sometimes challenging business change environment.
  • IT literate – with a good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

Position Remuneration

  • Monday to Friday / 40 hours per week.
  • Salary £27,000 – £31,000 DOE (+£15,000 OTE).
  • Pension.
  • Private Healthcare.
  • 22 days holiday including bank holidays.
