I am working with an Accident Repair Centre in the Chichester area of West Sussex who are currently seeking a SMART Repair Technician.

We are seeking a Smart Repair Technician from an automotive Body Shop or Smart environment, whether from an independent or franchised garage. The candidate should be able to prepare damaged panels, mask vehicles in readiness for painting, carry out minor repairs to body panels and alloy wheels, and polish vehicles after painting, among other duties.

You will be an integral part of our team as a Smart Repair Technician, working on all types of vehicle makes in a modern, state-of-the-art, clean workshop. Within the Bodyshop, you will perform Smart repairs on cars and LCV vehicles.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Repairing and refurbishing vehicle damages such as scratches, scuffs, dents, windscreen chips, upholstery repairs, leather reconditioning and recolouring, and wheel refurbishments.
  • Cleaning and preparing vehicles for repair.
  • Performing cosmetic paint touch-ups and local paintwork repairs.
  • Maintaining equipment regularly and reporting issues to the Bodyshop Manager.

About You:

  • Previous experience as a Smart Repairer within a bodyshop or similar environment is required.
  • Body shop or equivalent experience.
  • Qualifications are an advantage.
  • Full driving licence.
  • Able to work under tight deadlines and thrive in a busy bodyshop environment.
