We are working with a leading Communications Company who are seeking a Field Network Engineer to cover the North of England, serving clients along the M1 Corridor (Leeds, Sheffield, Rotherham, Doncaster, Barnsley, Huddersfield, Bradford, Harrogate, York, Darlington, Stockton, Sunderland, Newcastle). My client is flexible on where you live as long as you are able to travel to these locations.

As a Mobile Field Network Engineer you will be responsible for:

  • Install and maintain our customers' Telephony TDM and IP Business Phone Systems.
  • Install and build customer’s solutions via 8×8 and NFON hosted platforms.
  • Fault find on VoIP networks which will include the protocols SIP, RTP, T38, ALG, DNS, TCP, UDP, FTP, Multicasting, Layer 2 and 3 routing and QoS.
  • Use tools such as Wireshark and Syslog to identify problems with SIP extensions and SIP trunks.
  • Work with Active Directory, DNS, SQL, DHCP and Exchange on Windows servers.
  • Install G4 solutions, undertaking cable runs and overcoming buildings/logistic issues as they arise, ensuring each installation or site visit has technically been documented.
  • Install and repair CAT5/CAT6 network points.

Mobile Field Network Engineer Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with the following:
  • Hold a Driving Licence.
  • CCNA or CompTIA Networking + qualification.
  • Microsoft Server 2012/2016 experience.
  • Previous experience as a field engineer installing and maintaining IP Telephone systems and Call Centres.

As a Mobile Field Network Engineer, you will be friendly and have great customer service skills with experience within a similar role. You will be happy to travel to various locations.
