My client is a Main Car dealership based in Letchworth Garden City, currently looking to recruit a MOT Tester/Prep Technician.
What the role will include:
- Ensure the MOT Test Centre conforms to the standards set by the Vehicle Inspectorate.
- Undertake MOT’s and re-test, working within the DVSA framework.
- Carry out diagnostics and updates to vehicles, using the latest manufactured diagnostic equipment.
- Plan, carry out, check and test all work done to the highest possible standard.
- Instruct the parts department of the parts that are necessary for the repair.
- Accurately report and record work done and tests carried out and to immediately report any further works required or vehicle faults.
- Assist service reception recording recovering, returning and moving customers’ vehicles.
Experience, skills and attributes:
- Must have an up-to-date MOT Licence.
- Previous experience.
- A full UK driving licence is essential.
- Ability to achieve high productivity and efficiency.
- Team player with a positive and can-do attitude.
- Self-motivated and customer focused.
- Excellent time management to ensure customer lead time scales are met.
