Our client is a successful, privately owned IT company based in Lancing, West Sussex. They have an exciting opportunity for a forward-thinking experienced IT Support Technician to join their expanding team.
As an IT Support Technician, you will be responsible for dealing with 1st line support to resolve issues on Desktop & Servers primarily in the education sector. You will be assisting to solve issues on a help desk within the main office, offering telephone, email and face-to-face support. You will help to assist and build reputable relationships with schools and clients, mainly using Windows 2012/2016.
To be considered for this position, you must have previous experience and knowledge in using the following:
- Microsoft Server OS & Desktop
- Networking
- DHCP & DNS
- Group Policy
- AD
- PC Diagnostics & Fix
- Knowledge on Apple and Android
- Virtualisation is an advantage but not essential.
You must have a great knowledge and passion for technology, keeping up to date with all new systems ensuring you have the best available knowledge for the job. You will be friendly but professional in your approach and be confident to build strong relationships with clients. You will work well as an individual, but also be required to work with other IT Technicians when needed, so must be able to work well in a team. You will have great attention to detail and be able to manage your time effectively, working well under pressure.
For this position, a full DBS check will be carried out due to the nature of the clientele.
