Overview

Infrastructure Engineer required. Our client is a privately owned and highly successful Logistics, Construction and Maintenance business, employing over 2,000 people in the UK. They are now looking for an experienced Infrastrcture Engineer/3rd Line Support to join their IT team of 6, based in Paisley. The successful candidate will be working with the in-house IT team to maintain the infrastructure of our communications, networking and collaborative tools and processes. Customer service skills are essential as well as excellent knowledge of Azure.

Responsibilities

  • Develop & Maintain core infrastructure technologies
  • Act as point of contact from staff regarding IT issues
  • Troubleshooting of IT related problems
  • Liaise with in-house technical staff
  • Leading the on-going support
  • Maintaining security & availability of key systems
  • Investigating and rectifying issues
  • Providing incident support

Position Requirements

  • Experience in 3rd Line Support
  • Strong knowledge of storage area networks and backup systems
  • Competent in configuration
  • Excellent knowledge of Azure & Office 365
  • Previous role in a manageable position – desirable
  • Experience working with Cetrix
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced knowledge of PC hardware & software
  • Self-motivated and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Position Remuneration

  • Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm / 9am- 6pm
  • Salary £31,000 – £37,000 (dependant on experience)
  • 28 days holiday including bank holidays
  • Pension Scheme
