Overview
Infrastructure Engineer required. Our client is a privately owned and highly successful Logistics, Construction and Maintenance business, employing over 2,000 people in the UK. They are now looking for an experienced Infrastrcture Engineer/3rd Line Support to join their IT team of 6, based in Paisley. The successful candidate will be working with the in-house IT team to maintain the infrastructure of our communications, networking and collaborative tools and processes. Customer service skills are essential as well as excellent knowledge of Azure.
Responsibilities
- Develop & Maintain core infrastructure technologies
- Act as point of contact from staff regarding IT issues
- Troubleshooting of IT related problems
- Liaise with in-house technical staff
- Leading the on-going support
- Maintaining security & availability of key systems
- Investigating and rectifying issues
- Providing incident support
Position Requirements
- Experience in 3rd Line Support
- Strong knowledge of storage area networks and backup systems
- Competent in configuration
- Excellent knowledge of Azure & Office 365
- Previous role in a manageable position – desirable
- Experience working with Cetrix
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced knowledge of PC hardware & software
- Self-motivated and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Position Remuneration
- Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm / 9am- 6pm
- Salary £31,000 – £37,000 (dependant on experience)
- 28 days holiday including bank holidays
