IT Desktop Support Technician needed at local school for a minimum of 4 weeks, with potential for longer!
Must hold valid DBS.
Hourly rate: £10 – £12 per hour on PAYE (Immediate Start Available).
Hours: 8am – 4:30pm with an hour unpaid lunch (37.5 hours per week).
Location: Near Ashton-Under-Lyne.
Reporting to the School’s IT Manager, as the IT Desktop Support Engineer you will be involved with upgrades on over 550 PCs and general day-to-day IT support within the school. It is essential you hold a valid DBS.
Desirable Skills:
- Good knowledge of desktop technologies for Windows 7 through to Windows 10 support.
- 1st and 2nd Line Microsoft Office 2010 / 2013 / 2016 / Office365.
- Maintenance and troubleshooting of printers.
- Good communication skills – written and verbal.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to diagnose faults and find solutions.
- Ability to maintain strong relationships with customers.
- Able to follow agreed procedures and documentation.
- User administration of Microsoft Server 2008 / 2012 / 2016.
- User administration of Exchange 2010 / 2013 / 2016 / Office365.
- A base understanding of networking protocols and devices.
