Job Description

My client is a Logistics company near St Albans and are in need of a Business Development Executive!

With a very strong package, the OTE of Approx. £50,000 – £55,000

As a Business Development Executive you will be working in the Freight and Logistics sector, working across UK and Europe :

  • Using existing client development, maximising the business potential.
  • Identifying potential new business market sectors for the company.
  • helping to design and produce specific Customs focused presentations tailored to client’s needs.
  • Targeting relevant Logistics Managers/Supply Chain Managers.
  • New business sales canvassing for volume export or import traffics.
  • Preparing presentations and quotes for new business.
  • Visiting prospective clients in the UK and in Europe.
  • Account management will be required for specific clients.
  • Opening credit accounts for new clients.
  • Helping to manage a small but dynamic sales team.
  • Helping the Operations team to solve commercial problems.
  • About you:

  • Sales experience at a senior level negotiating, structuring new business deals of typically £15-£20K plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, and telephone manner.
  • New business sales background.
  • The ability to make structured and effective cold calls through to closing.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Language (French or German) an advantage but not essential.
  • A spectrum of benefits, including 22 days holiday a year plus bank holidays!!

    Working Days:

    Monday to Friday, 8am-6pm.
