We are working with a Cyber Security specialists based near Worthing, who are recruiting for a Penetration Tester with a minimum of 3 years experience. This role will be both client-facing. Working on multiple different projects provides exposure to different industries. The client base covers the UK and also the USA so some international travel is to be expected (subject to COVID restrictions).
You’ll be liaising directly with the business or IT representatives to provide advice on the mitigation of discovered flaws or implementing state-of-the-art security mechanisms.
Penetration Tester Role:- Deliver penetration testing services in line with approved processes.
- Provide customers with relevant advice relating to identified findings and recommendations.
- Perform conclusive, impact research on security vulnerabilities and popular computing technologies.
- Collaborate with team members to increase security knowledge.
- Recognised cyber security certifications or proven experience in penetration testing/cyber security roles. Preferably CREST accredited.
- Has worked in a client-facing consultative environment (either with internal or external customers).
- Knowledge of security assessment and audit tools, techniques and methodologies (penetration testing, ethical hacking).
- Good knowledge of network protocols and services (e.g. OSI model, IP networking, TCP/IP familiarity, HTTP, SMTP etc.).
- Familiarity with standard Office software (word processing, spreadsheets, project management tools).
- Understanding of cryptographic concepts and technologies.
- Experience of commercial and public domain security tools and software. Firewalls, IPS, content management, anti-malware etc.
Salary: Depending on previous experience & qualifications:
CREST CRT £45,000 – £60,000
CREST CCT £60,000 – £75,000
