Assistant Service Manager / Service Reception Manager required by my Main Dealer Motor Garage based in the Maidstone area of Kent.
Job Location β Maidstone, Kent
Salary circa 27k basic / 33k OTE
Your previous experience will have been in a similar role, or perhaps as a Service Manager, Front of House Manager, Workshop Controller, or Senior Service Advisor.
You will need to lead by example on a daily basis and have an enthusiastic and passionate personality to drive and motivate your team.
You will be expected to help resolve staff and customer concerns as they arise and take responsibility for hitting business objectives.
Responsibilities include:
- Overseeing all aspects of the Service Department operations in the absence of the service manager.
- Challenging and driving the performance of the front-of-house staff.
- Managing, coaching, and motivating employees to ensure a high quality of staff.
- Assisting with monitoring performance against agreed targets.
- Ensuring correct completion of Vehicle Health Checks, upsell conversions, and follow-up of unsold, deferred work processes.
About You:
Preferably a minimum of 3 years' experience as a Senior Service Advisor, Workshop Controller, Service Reception Manager, or Assistant Service Manager who is highly successful in their current position or already in a similar role.
You will need to be a βleaderβ of people and an ambassador for the brand and dealer group, demonstrating a stable career path.
You should be capable of balancing the hands-on approach of helping your team, along with running the department when the Service Manager is unavailable.
