Are you passionate about game development and curious about what goes on behind the scenes to deliver exceptional player experiences?
As our team is growing, we’re looking for multiple Junior QA Analysts to support RuneScape and Old School RuneScape, two of the most iconic MMORPGs. Whether embedded with a content team or working on core engine systems, you’ll playtest updates, validate features, report issues, and provide player-focused feedback throughout development. With guidance from experienced peers, you’ll develop your skills in testing, bug reporting, and collaborative QA practices, helping to shape the content experienced by millions of players.
What you’ll be doing:
- Learn and apply QA processes, testing techniques, and agile practices in a live game development environment.
- Design, plan, and execute test cases across game content, features, and engine systems.
- Playtest upcoming updates, providing clear feedback on mechanics, design and balance.
- Investigate and document player-reported issues, producing reproducible findings for development teams.
- Report bugs, risks, and quality concerns concisely using internal tools and standards.
- Analyse game content and systems, offering constructive feedback on potential bugs, risks, or design improvements.
- Conduct Release Candidate testing of the RuneScape Game engine.
- Collaborate closely with engineers, designers, and more, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
What we’re looking for:
- Passion for games and game development, whether from a technical, creative, or player-focused perspective.
- Enthusiasm to learn how quality is achieved through structured, player-centric testing.
- Familiarity with PC and mobile operating systems and hardware.
- Comfortable working in a multidisciplinary team and understanding the needs of different roles.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and feedback skills.
- A proactive attitude with eagerness to learn new tools, technologies, and QA methods.
Interview Process:
The interview process will take approximately 3 weeks to complete and will comprise of 3 stages outlined below:
- Video interview
- 45 minute Zoom interview with the Hiring Manager
- 1 hour where you’ll meet the team and discuss the basics of games testing and Jagex’s values
