Location: Cambridge, UK (hybrid) with travel to the office twice per week.

As an Indirect Category Manager you will be responsible for developing and executing category strategies across a range of indirect spend areas including Professional Services, Marketing, Merchandise, Facilities & HR. You will manage strategic supplier relationships, drive commercial value, and support Jagex's ambitions for scalability, speed-to-market, and operational excellence.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Develop and own category strategies aligned to business needs and procurement roadmap
  • Lead sourcing initiatives across indirect categories, including market analysis, supplier selection, RFPs, negotiations, and contracting
  • Manage supplier performance and lead supplier relationship management (SRM) activities to drive innovation and value
  • Partner with key stakeholders to understand requirements, align procurement strategies, and support decision-making
  • Implement and manage Preferred Supplier Agreements (PSAs) and frameworks, especially in external resourcing
  • Drive compliance, cost savings, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement across assigned categories
  • Support the evolution of procurement policies, templates, and tools to enhance maturity and enable best practice
  • Analyse spend, contract data, and supplier performance to provide actionable insights
  • Champion procurement's role in delivering commercial and strategic impact across the business

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience in procurement or category management roles, ideally within Technology, Media, Gaming, or Creative sectors
  • Strong track record managing indirect categories such as Professional Services, HR, Marketing, or Facilities
  • Skilled in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiations
  • Confident working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong commercial acumen, analytical thinking, and influencing skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building capabilities
  • Knowledge of contract law and commercial terms
