We’re looking for a Director of Games Analytics to lead the analytics agenda for gameplay engagement, progression and player experience across our live titles. Embedded within game teams and player support functions, you’ll ensure that design decisions and live operations are powered by deep telemetry and behavioural insight. This is a gameplay-focused leadership role. You’ll translate player behaviour into clear, actionable recommendations that improve enjoyment, retention and monetisation. Managing embedded analysts across four live games, you’ll partner closely with studio leadership, including SVP Product and Executive Producers; to ensure analytics drives meaningful player impact.
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead gameplay and player experience analytics
- Own analytics for engagement, progression, monetisation and player journeys
- Translate telemetry into actionable design and live operations recommendations (feature tuning, economy adjustments, funnel optimisation)
- Design and analyse experiments (A/B testing) to identify leading indicators of membership and game performance
- Identify repeatable analytics to centralise or transition to BI, Data Science or Commercial Analytics teams
- Partner with Commercial Analytics to build and evolve a game economy model that assesses the impact of features, monetisation and anti-cheat activity
- Drive cross-game knowledge sharing and standardised definitions and metrics
- Lead teams and embed analytics into development
- Lead and mentor embedded analysts across games and player-support journeys
- Ensure high-quality instrumentation and telemetry consistency across titles
- Partner with designers, producers and UX researchers to embed analytics into development cycles
- Champion behavioural analytics across game teams, driving adoption and measurable impact
What we’re looking for:
- You bring deep expertise in game telemetry and behavioural analytics, with a strong understanding of player journeys, progression systems and monetisation mechanics.
- You’re a confident communicator who can influence game teams and translate complex analysis into clear design and live operations recommendations.
- You’re comfortable operating in live game environments, managing embedded analytics teams and partnering cross-functionally to improve player experience.
- Strong experience in game telemetry and behavioural analytics (session metrics, funnels, progression, economy modelling)
- Expertise in experimentation (A/B testing, cohort analysis, retention curve analysis)
- Stakeholder management across design, production, UX and live operations
- Technical fluency in SQL and Python or R, with knowledge of telemetry pipelines and event analytics stacks
- Understanding of monetisation mechanics (IAP, economy balancing)
- Experience managing embedded analytics teams across multiple live games
