As a Commercial Analyst, you will support insight‑led decision making to optimise revenue, pricing, product performance, and long‑term player value across the RuneScape franchise. Acting as a trusted partner to Product, Finance, and Leadership teams, you’ll translate complex data into clear commercial insights, build scalable reporting and forecasting solutions, and evaluate initiatives to inform strategic direction.
What you’ll be doing:
- Providing actionable commercial insights to address key strategic and operational business questions.
- Tracking, reporting, and analysing revenue performance, product performance, pricing effectiveness, and commercial KPIs through ad‑hoc analysis and automated reporting.
- Analysing transactional data using database queries, spreadsheet models, BI tools, and statistical methods.
- Evaluating pricing changes, promotions, and product initiatives, providing clear recommendations based on measurable commercial impact.
- Identifying revenue opportunities and risks through cohort, lifecycle, and value‑based analysis.
- Supporting forecasting, budgeting, and scenario modelling to inform business planning.
- Collaborating with Product, Finance, and Leadership teams to translate commercial questions into clear, impactful analysis.
- Presenting conclusions to business stakeholders in a clear and practical way to support decision‑making.
- Partnering with Data Engineering on data requirements to ensure high‑quality, reliable reporting.
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience in a commercial analytics or revenue analytics role within a data‑driven environment.
- Understanding of commercial performance metrics such as revenue, margin, ARPU, LTV, and forecasting principles.
- Demonstrable ability to translate data into actionable insights and present them effectively.
- Working skill in SQL and a statistics language (e.g., Python or R).
- Experience using dashboarding tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Experience automating data processes to improve efficiency, manual effort and reporting reliability.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical thinking with experience assessing digital products and business performance drivers.
