Want to work in a team that drives the data and insights behind the RuneScape franchise? As a Senior Marketing Analyst (12–14 month maternity cover), you will help shape data-led strategies that power player acquisition, engagement, and retention across the RuneScape franchise and beyond. You will act as a subject matter expert, delivering impactful insights, scalable reporting solutions, and performance analysis that guide key marketing decisions. You will also support improvements in analytics processes and contribute to team development through knowledge sharing and best-practice guidance.
What you will be doing:
- Providing actionable market and player insights to address key strategic and tactical questions.
- Tracking, reporting, and analysing the performance of digital marketing activities, ad-hoc requests, and automated reporting.
- Analysing external and internal player data using database queries, spreadsheet models, web analytics tools, statistical tools, and campaign management platforms.
- Assessing A/B and multivariate tests and providing clear recommendations based on results.
- Analysing paid media campaign data to uncover insights and guide performance improvements and budget decisions.
- Collaborating with the Digital Marketing team to translate ambiguous questions or metrics into clear, impactful analysis.
- Presenting conclusions to business stakeholders in a clear and practical way.
- Partnering with Data Engineering on data requirements to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Conducting analysis using version control, documentation, and reproducible workflows.
What we are looking for:
- Proven experience in an analytical marketing role within a data-driven, performance-focused environment.
- Solid understanding of performance marketing principles, marketing channels, and campaign optimisation.
- Demonstrable ability to translate data into actionable insights and present them effectively.
- Working skill in SQL and a statistics language (e.g., Python or R).
- Experience using dashboarding tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Experience automating data processes to reduce manual effort.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Strong domain knowledge in assessing digital products and using analytics, statistical modelling, and associated toolsets.
