As a Procurement Assistant you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the Procurement function. This role will provide administrative and transactional support to ensure that procurement processes are efficient, accurate, and compliant. The role is ideal for someone with strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude who is looking to grow within a commercial or procurement environment.
What you will be doing:
- Raise, amend, and track purchase orders (POs) in the finance/procurement system in line with internal processes.
- Support supplier onboarding, including due diligence, data collection, and system setup.
- Maintain and update the central contract and supplier database, ensuring records are accurate and current.
- Monitor contract expiry dates and support renewal processes with category managers.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, including accurate documentation and audit trails.
- Respond to internal queries regarding PO status, supplier setup, and invoice matching.
- Support the Procurement team with meeting coordination, document preparation, and reporting.
- Assist with market research, quote gathering, and administrative tasks for sourcing projects.
- Liaise with Finance and Legal teams to support smooth purchase-to-pay (P2P) workflows.
- Help drive continuous improvement in procurement systems and processes.
