Are you a UI artist with a strong visual craft and a portfolio that shows you can balance aesthetics with usability across PC and console?
As a UI Artist, you’ll create polished, intuitive interfaces that shape how players experience the game, from front-end menus through to in-game HUDs and interactive components.
Working within the UI/UX team, you’ll own UI art tasks while collaborating closely with UX designers, game designers, artists, and engineers to bring consistent, high-quality interfaces to life in Unreal Engine.
You’ll translate UX wireframes into refined visual designs, contribute to style guides and asset toolkits, and iterate based on player feedback, user testing, and creative direction, playing a key role in maintaining the visual consistency.
What you’ll be doing
- Create high-quality UI artwork and interface assets for front-end and in-game features, including menus, HUDs, icons, and interactive components.
- Translate UX wireframes and flows into polished, visually refined interfaces that balance aesthetics with usability.
- Implement or support UI implementation within Unreal Engine, providing annotated notes and design guidelines to support the engineering team.
- Maintain visual consistency across the project and contribute to UI style guides and asset toolkits.
- Identify usability issues and propose visual improvements, iterating based on player feedback, user testing, and team direction.
- Participate in design reviews and collaborate closely with UX design, game design, and art teams throughout development.
What we’re looking for
A strong portfolio demonstrating polished UI work across visual hierarchy, typography, iconography, and interface design.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma, with solid experience creating UI assets including buttons, HUDs, menus, icons, and visual effects.
- Familiarity with Unreal Engine and a good understanding of UI implementation workflows and asset optimisation.
- Strong grasp of graphic design principles: visual hierarchy, typography, colour theory, composition, accessibility, and user-centred design.
- Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and deliver high-quality work to deadlines with limited supervision.
- Motion graphics or UI animation skills (After Effects, engine animation tools), illustration or concept design experience, and familiarity with Perforce are all a plus.
What we offer
When you join Jagex you can look forward to a generous Perks & Benefits package including:
Private Healthcare, including Dental Plan.
- Discretionary annual performance bonus.
- Minimum 6% Pension contributions.
- Life Insurance.
- Enhanced family leave policies from day 1.
