We are seeking a commercially minded Senior Financial Accountant to join a global media business, taking ownership of key financial processes in a fast-paced, international environment. This role will be instrumental in ensuring strong financial control, high-quality reporting, and effective cashflow management across multiple markets.
The Role
- End-to-end management of both direct and indirect cashflows, supporting complex, multi-territory revenue streams and cost structures.
- Design, implementation, and continuous improvement of global reporting streams to ensure accurate, timely, and insightful financial information.
- Preparation of technical accounting papers and resolution of complex accounting matters in a group and multi-entity environment.
- Full ownership of stock accounting, including capital stock and content-related assets where applicable.
- Review, maintenance, and enhancement of the financial control framework across multiple entities.
- Supporting the annual statutory and group audit processes, acting as a key point of contact for internal and external auditors.
- Review, preparation, and submission of monthly and quarterly management and group reporting.
- Line management, mentoring, and development of one Junior Financial Accountant.
- Preparation and review of key monthly balance sheets, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance across entities.
About You
You will be a qualified finance professional with strong technical expertise who thrives in a fast-paced, global media environment and is comfortable working across geographies and stakeholders. You will bring:
- ACA or ACCA qualification.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, ideally gained within a global media, advertising, broadcast, or digital content business.
- Proven experience managing both direct and indirect cashflows in a multi-entity or international environment.
- Advanced Excel skills with experience handling large datasets and financial data analytics.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels and across regions.
- A demonstrated ability to redesign and improve financial processes, often leveraging technology at scale.
- The ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities, and maintain a high level of accuracy in a rapidly changing, international environment.
Hybrid working, 3 days in the office, 2 from home. 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays. £60-70k depending on level of experience.
