We're partnering with a highly successful retail/consumer goods business to recruit a Senior Commercial Finance Analyst. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused finance professional who enjoys partnering with sales and commercial teams to drive business performance through insightful analysis and decision support.

Must-Have Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a Commercial Finance, FP&A or Finance Business Partnering role
  • Proven experience delivering sales and margin analysis within a Retail, Consumer Goods or FMCG business
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or finalist with relevant commercial finance experience
  • Strong experience partnering with Sales and Commercial teams to influence business decisions
  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills, with the ability to analyse large and complex data sets
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the confidence to challenge and influence senior leadership

Applications without demonstrable commercial finance experience within a Retail, Consumer Goods or FMCG environment, including sales and margin analysis responsibilities, cannot be considered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver detailed sales, margin and profitability analysis across products, customers and channels.
  • Partner closely with Sales, Marketing and Commercial teams to support strategic decision-making.
  • Analyse pricing performance, promotional effectiveness and customer profitability.
  • Produce weekly and monthly commercial performance reporting, highlighting risks and opportunities.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning processes.
  • Develop financial models to assess new product launches, pricing initiatives and commercial opportunities.
  • Identify trends and provide recommendations to improve revenue growth and margin performance.
  • Present insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders across the business.
  • Drive continuous improvement of reporting processes and commercial finance tools.
