International Financial Controller

We’re looking for an experienced International Financial Controller to join a fast-paced, growing international sports media business based in West London.

This is a senior finance role with responsibility for maintaining strong financial reporting, controls and governance across an international business, working closely with senior stakeholders across finance and the wider organisation.

The Role

As International Financial Controller, you will play a key role in ensuring the integrity, accuracy and effectiveness of the group’s financial reporting and control environment.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Leading and overseeing international financial reporting across multiple entities and jurisdictions
• Ensuring robust financial controls, processes and governance are maintained
• Managing month-end and year-end reporting processes
• Supporting the preparation of consolidated management and statutory accounts
• Reviewing and improving finance processes, systems and controls
• Working closely with regional finance teams and senior stakeholders internationally
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial planning
• Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, policies and regulatory requirements
• Working with auditors and other external stakeholders
• Identifying opportunities to improve the efficiency, accuracy and scalability of the finance function

About You

We’re looking for a technically strong finance professional with significant experience in financial reporting and financial controls, ideally gained within an international or multi-entity environment.

You’ll ideally have:

• Strong financial reporting experience, including month-end and year-end close
• Extensive experience designing, implementing and maintaining financial controls
• Experience working across multiple countries, entities or jurisdictions
• Strong technical accounting knowledge
• Experience with consolidation and group reporting
• Excellent attention to detail and a strong control mindset
• The ability to work confidently with senior stakeholders
• Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills
• A proactive approach and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving international business
• ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent professional qualification

Experience within sports, media, entertainment, broadcasting or another international consumer-facing business would be advantageous, but is not essential.

4 days in the office / 1 day working from home

£95,000 base salary + bonus
